Have you given any thought to your family’s needs in case of an outbreak? Have you prepared for a possible quarantine? Are you confused about what it means to be well prepared? The average person may also share these concerns. Here are just a few ways to ensure that you are ready should a situation arise in your community.
Stay Alert, not Anxious! Take a proactive approach by informing yourself of the do’s and don’ts. Don’t listen to the media! The media can exacerbate the facts. Instead, read articles from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and prevention) and WHO (World Health organization).
Maybe now is already the last minute to prepare, but you have time if you act quickly and efficiently. Make a list of the supplies that your family may need…medicine, WATER, detergent, hand soap, Rubbing Alcohol, feminine products, formula, diapers, “TOILET PAPER” and let the hunt begin.
Another HIGHLY and essential proactive approach is to stock up on dry and canned food. Tuna, Beans, fruit cups, Trail mixes and Cup of Noodles, although high in sodium, are life saviors.
If you have small children, disinfect and wash washable toys. You can use diluted bleach to sanitize hard toys (see instructions before washing to prevent discoloration). You can place the washed toys in mesh laundry Bags and hang them to dry.
WASH your Hands frequently, and DON’T rely solely on hand sanitizer, that is if you can find any, and if you have nonessential outings or travel plans, stay home, or stay local.
Take this pandemic seriously because the COVID19 is happening, and it is far from over. In case of quarantine or lockdown you want peace of mind that you are well prepared. Don’t waste any more time on protecting the needs of our loved ones!
Good Health to you all!
